The passing of time and how to interpret and record it has been an area of exploration in all of my work. In the Passage series, I have left the safety and security of my own private space and ventured forth into the world.

I am interested in collecting and organizing the various segments of my life and translating the emotions and experiences into a visual image. I am trying to capture my passage through time and at the same time remark on how time is passing me by. As I meander down a river or retreat from the shore, time is compressed and layered, suggesting a more painterly vision. The passage of time creates a veil or fog over the imagery, suggesting the recollection of a distant memory.
